I first came to the Red Lion 20th May 1977 I was asked by the landlord Ken Ott if I could DJ one evening through the week, unfortunately I didn't have a spare night !
After his persistance I agreed I could fit in a monday... this was the start of things to come, by 1978 I was DJing a regular Sunday night spot.. this led me to convince Ken to allow me to put on live music (something I had been doing in other venues).. He took some convincing, but eventually I booked the first act 'REBEL'.. This was the start of things to come !!
Hey, this is Greyfox from the Band Greyfox Conspiracy www.Greyfoxconspiracy.com We're in our second year and are looking to do shows in your area. I have played the venue with my previous band Sons Of Liberty. I was the vocalist and main writer for the band for 12 years, recording the first two albums and two EPs. My name is Andy Goodwin and I was the manager of the E.F.Band from Sweden. On every tour we always played at the Red Lion. I was the best gig on the tours. Sold out public every time, devoted metal fans and the owners always treated the band as stars. Thanks for the memories from the band and myself.
